No credit is better than bad credit so this condition will not preclude your from getting a loan for study. Before looking at just any student loan, here are a few loans that require absolutely no credit checks:

Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Perkins Loans, some other Government and State-funded loans, Pell Grant and other Government grants, some private grants and scholarships.

Federal Student Loans

Although the amount given is small and may need supplementing with a private type of loan, it is your first step and is an essential part of any Student Loan credit package. Why? Because it is government funded and has the best terms available.

There are two types - Subsidized and Unsubsidized.

Subsidized Loans are for only very financially needy students and the government pays for all your interest payments - not bad eh! - until the student has graduated. You also have a 6 month grace period before paying back the loan.

Unsubsidized Loans are available to all students and are much easier to obtain. The interest rate is still low - around 6-8 percent and also provides a six month grace period.

The Perkins Loan - this loan type is the hardest to get and is for only the most financially needy of students. It therefore has the best terms - a nine month grace period and you have 10 years to pay it back.

As with most federal student loan programs, having no credit shouldn’t be a problem.

Grants and Scholarships

Grants and scholarships are not loans, so of course require no credit checks. Scholarships are normally awarded on merit where as grants are provided more on need - check out the Federal Pell Grant.

A lot of states also have many grants and scholarships so check with your state’s government education fund. There are also many professional societies. If there are a shortage of teachers for example the government will provide more funding to these related professional teachers societies so it is more likely you can get a grant or scholarship from these places.

Alternative and Co-Signer Loans

You need a credit worthy co-signer to get this type of loan - typically your parents will be the co-signers. The downside is that if you cannot make your loan repayments then your co-signer are up for the bill. This can be very awkward and should be considered carefully. There are a few terms between you and the co-signer agreed upon before taking out the loan. For example if you are starting to fall behind you need to let them know and maybe take out a part-time job to help get back up to date. Good credit can lower your repayment amounts.

Keeping away from bad credit

You want to avoid defaulting on your student loans at all cost, this may mean consolidating your loans or changing terms, you could ask about reducing your monthly payment, you will still have to pay it back in the future but it could help you get over a rough financial patch you may find yourself in.

You need to find an International student loan if you are a prospective overseas college student who is now a United States resident, or if you are thinking about returning to a college or university overseas. Just like here in the United States you will need to apply for and qualify for various student loans to help you make your way through school and pay for your tuition after you have graduated. When you are applying to study overseas you need to find International student loans that you will qualify for and start applying for them.

According to the International Student Loan Center, each year over 190,000 Americans study abroad and over 550,000 international students come to the USA to study. However, studying abroad often requires financial assistance for extra expenses such as travel, accommodations and materials, which can make it a greater financial commitment.

What Is An International Student Loan?

An International student loan is for you if you are currently an American citizen and you plan to enroll in a college or university in another country, usually overseas.

What Is The Process Of Getting Approved?

Much of the process of getting approved for an international student loan is the same as if you were applying for a student loan in the United States. However, you will need to show and prove some things in order to qualify. These are:

1. You have to be a United States citizen, or a permanent resident of the United States with a valid permanent resident card.

2. You need to be of age of majority in your state, which is usually eighteen years old.

3. You will need to show that you have been enrolled at an eligible foreign institution for at least half of the time.

4. You will also have to have the necessary credit. If you apply and are not approve because of poor or no credit (or you already know you would not qualify because of poor or no credit) you will need to apply or reapply with a cosigner that has a good credit report and credit score.

Where To Start Looking For Lenders

Of course the easiest place to start looking for lenders is online because of the vast and varied information you can find. You will certainly find more information online when searching for anything. Remember that there are no fees involved in getting any type of student loan. If they ask for a fee, chances are they could be scamming you.

Here Are Some Possible Lenders Who Offer International Student Loans

Federal Stafford Loans

PLUS Loans

Signature Student Loans

Global Health Loan Program

MBA Private Loans

LAWLOANS Private Loan

Tuition Answer Loans

There are more, but these are the most used ones. Search the lenders above on the internet to get a better idea of who can get you the help you need financially to study in a college or university in another country.

If you have a high amount of student loans that you are struggling to pay off, then you may have questions about how to handle it. There are provisions with most types of student loans that allow you to defer payments or adjust payments to meet your needs. Check with your lender for specifics. Here, we will discuss common options when it comes to paying down your student loans.

If you are really in over your head and have considered bankruptcy, be prepared. Bankruptcy is not an option for federal student loans. They will not go away or be discharged even if you are filing bankruptcy. You do have some options though. You can apply to change the pay off terms of your student loans. Instead of struggling to pay them off in ten years, you can stretch them out to thirty years. This, of course, would end up costing you more interest in the long run, but it could relieve the stress of large monthly payments. If you’re missing payments because they’re too high, then it will end up costing you more anyway, not to mention that you can ruin your credit by missing payments.

Filing bankruptcy with a private student loan is not any better. There is a provision for undue hardship, but the standards are extremely hard to meet. If you can meet the requirements, then it is possible to get a private student loan discharged. This provision is very rarely awarded. You should consider different ways of paying off your student loans if possible.

One option is to talk to your lender about a graduated repayment plan. This plan allows you to start out at low payments that steadily increase over time. This gives you some time to build your income up to a point where you can afford the larger payments. Payments are figured generally once every two years, so you have some time to prepare when the payments increase.

Another option is setting up an income based repayment plan. This plan uses your adjusted gross income each year to figure the payment that you can afford. The payment is based also on the size of the loan. How many members you have in your family is also taken into consideration. Many find this a very effective way to budget for student loan payments.

In times of extreme hardship, you may qualify to defer your loan payments. This doesn’t mean that they are discharged or gone, but simply put off until a later date. Many types of student loans will not have interest accruing during the deferment period. If you don’t qualify for deferment, you may qualify for forbearance. Forbearance is like deferment, in that you can postpone payments for a set length of time. Unlike deferment, forbearance options do accumulate interest during the period that you are not making payments.

In general, you should try to pay off your student loans whenever you come into extra money. All debts need to be taken seriously and you should always pay as much as you can afford. If you are in some trouble and need to change the terms or put off monthly payments for a while, contact the custodian of the loan. Manage it well, and you can be on your way to paying off your student loans.

Most students seek out some form of financial assistance when getting ready to pay for school. This is not surprising considering the cost of tuition. Even if you have saved a considerable amount for college, chances are you will quickly run out. The cost of living at college can become a huge burden to most people and that savings account just may not be enough. College costs can soar way above the money spent on tuition and books. If you are looking for student loans or private student loans with no co-signer, then you will need to do some research first.

There are a lot of different kinds of financial help out there. Most require that you have good credit, which sends many students searching for a co-signer. If having a co-signer just is not an option for you, then you may be limited to certain types of federal aid or private student loans. Of course, scholarship and grant money are best, but you may still end up needing additional help.

If you have good credit then you are in a good spot. Many college students have yet to establish their credit and can use student loans to do that. Lenders recognize the fact that students have a high potential to make a good salary when they graduate, so they are more lenient on loan amounts and interest rates.

If you are a student, you want to go for the best terms possible to begin. This means trying your hand at the Federal Student Loan level. Perkins loans and Stafford loans are fairly easy to qualify for. They also may have favorable terms for students, such as payments deferred until after graduation, low origination fees, fixed low interest rates and low fees. If you do not qualify or if you do not get enough money from these types of loans, then you may want to move into the financial aid sector through your school.

You will need to fill out a FAFSA, Free Application for Federal Student Aid, application. With this application, you can possibly get grant money or other Federal aid that is out there. You will need to fill this out for the Perkins or Stafford Loans as well. When you have exhausted all scholarship, grant, Perkins and Stafford Loan money, you may need to turn to a private lender for additional help.

Your school may offer a list of lenders to choose from, but you can actually compare many lenders at once by going online to look for private student loans. This service has ended the days of driving from bank to bank, putting multiple inquiries on your credit, and still possibly ending up with unfavorable terms. This could be a very important step when securing private student loans without a co-signer.

American Student Loans - The Six Essential Steps to Getting Yours

With Federal American Student Loans it’s essential you learn and understand the process of what’s involved in applying. This helps so you can start preparing and gathering the necessary information to get organized and apply for your loan as soon as possible.
The basic steps to go through are as follows:

1. Applying for Financial Aid

First you need to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The (FAFSA) is your first step for most student financial aid programs. You can find the website here: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov

2. Calculating (EFC) Expected Family Contribution

After you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form and submitting it to the government they will then estimate how much money your family can actually afford to spend on your college costs. This is know as the Expected Family Contribution, or (EFC) - The lower your EPC, the more financial aid you will receive.

3. Receiving your Student Aid Report (SAR)

The Student Aid Report gets sent to you from the Government. This will summarize all the information you provided and will indicate your EFC.

4. Receiving your Award Letters

You will receive and Award Letter from the schools where you’ve applied for financial aid and have been accepted. This letter will indicate how much support each school is offering. When evaluating the offers, consider both the Aid Package and what the college actually costs.

5. Completing your loan application

While the FAFSA begins sending out the financial aid your Award letter may include a Stafford Loan, if so then fill it out and submit it. You may also need a Supplementary Student Loan to cover additional costs such as tuition and fees, housing, meals, books, personal expenses, and transportation. You need to shop around and find the best one - interests rates and terms will not be as favorable as the Federal Loan.

6. Receiving your loan amount

You’ve now done all the hard work and applied for a loan, it’s now been approved and you’ve signed the promissory note. The Funds will not be distributed until you enroll. Remember your school will receive the funds (they won’t go directly to you). They might all not come at once but in installments.

These are the basic steps of getting your federal American student loan.

Don’t forget that in additions to the federally funded loan programs, you may also be eligible for many different private American student loan options also.

To find out where to apply for private American student loans, visit http://www.american-studentloan.com

When you are going to college, especially with the huge cost of a college education these days, you probably got a student loan and perhaps even multiple student loans. This gets you through college but the bad news is that at some rapidly-approaching point in the future, you are going to have to start paying those loans back.

After you have graduated from college, it is a busy time for you as you are getting started looking for the right job, hopefully a job that is within your major area of study. You might also be looking to relocate for that job, so finding a house or a new apartment also plays into everything you have going on. With all these moving parts, it can make it very difficult to focus on your new job and everything else when you know that you need to start paying back those student loans.

If you are still in college, you are in good shape because you are not yet at the point of needing to start paying back those student loans, but very prudent advice would be to not wait until you graduate before you start thinking about how you are going to be able to take care of that huge financial burden.

Do you think you might have to file for bankruptcy? Think again. Federal student loans are exempt from being discharged by bankruptcy of any chapter, so even if you declare bankruptcy to get your fresh start in life, your student loans are still going to exist and need to be paid back.

A student loan consolidation will take your student loans, as well as other bills you might have racked up like credit card bills, and put them all into a lump sum that you can take to a student loan consolidation company. This is also known as debt consolidation but the whole process makes incredible financial sense for you. What the company does is to work out a payment plan with you depending on your budget, and they will even help you to establish a budget if you don’t already have one. Then you will make one payment to the student loan consolidation company every month, and they will in turn make payments to your creditors and also towards your student loans.

Note that this is not a loan in the traditional sense of the word. They do not give you a lump sum of money to pay off your student loan. Rather, they distribute money that you send them every month to make payments to your creditors. This is an important point, since if you miss your payment to them in a given month, then they are not going to make the payments to your creditors, which puts you in even worse shape than you are now.

Why do this at all? Because it can give you the financial breathing room you need right now as you get yourself established. For example, if the sum total of your credit card payments and student loan payments is say $2500 per month, after getting setup with the student loan consolidation company, your payments to cover those same bills might only be $1500 per month. It also keeps your credit report intact, without all the long-term negative things that a bankruptcy filing would do to your credit report.

Consider a student loan consolidation program today, even if you are still in college, so that you can be prepared to hit the ground running when you graduate.

Are you sick of public transportation? Perhaps you are tired of having to walk to class in wet, cold weather? Maybe you need a car to get to and from a new job that you just started. If you are a student seeking an easier means of getting around, there is answer! You can apply for a student car loan, even if you have no credit or bad credit!
Student car loans have two major advantages!
1) Buying a car will help eliminate all of your no-transportation headaches!
2) Utilizing a car loan to purchase a new car will help build your no credit or bad credit history into a positive one. Every monthly payment you make for your car loan will be reported to every major credit reporting agency.
I have no credit. How am I going to get approved for an auto loan?
With most car loan companies, being young and having no credit is not a factor when it comes to granting approvals. How come? Because a car loan is a secured type of loan. The lenders are protected by the fact that if your loan goes into default, they get your car.
What about bad credit? How do students get approved for a car loan with poor credit?
Same thing as getting approved for financing with no credit! Students with bad credit should not have a problem getting a car loan with bad credit because the lenders are protected; you don’t pay, you lose the car!
What about interest rates? What can one expect with poor credit? What kind of rates are associated with no credit car loans?
The interest rates related with bad credit student financing will tend to be a little bit higher than interest associated with no credit student loans. No credit loans with be slightly higher than interest rates for student with good credit. However, no matter what your credit is, if you make your payments in full and on time, in about one year you can apply for auto refinancing and achieve a lower interest rate for your car loan.
Do students need a co-signer when applying for college student auto loans?
Typically, auto finance companies will not require a co-signer for loans up to $25,000. If you are a student, there is no need to have a car loan for an automobile that costs more than $25,000.
What about buying? Do I need to buy from a dealer? Can I buy from a private seller? There are only a few auto loan companies that offer the flexibility of being able to purchase from anyone you want. Most finance companies work directly with dealers, often only with franchised dealers. However, dealers will work with you to find any make or model of new or used car that you are looking for.
Getting a student car loan is not a hard thing to do. In fact, as outlined above, it is pretty simple! Just make sure you make your car loan payments in full and on time, every month!
